Fritz Henkel Stiftung

More equity and cohesion in society – these are the main objectives of the Fritz Henkel Stiftung, as too many children and young people are still disadvantaged due to their social background. We therefore support initiatives for inclusive education globally to break down barriers and provide young people in need with fair access: to school education, to career entries and to social participation.

A focus of our work is to cooperate with charitable organizations and partners. In addition, we promote the voluntary social commitment of employees and retirees of Henkel AG & Co. KgaA, Düsseldorf, as part of the “Make an Impact on Tomorrow” (MIT) initiative. Founded in 2011, the charitable foundation is named after company founder Fritz Henkel, but operates independently of the company. Since its establishment, the foundation has spent more than 32 million euros in funding (as of end of 2022), supported over 4,800 projects worldwide and gave 3.8 million people access to sustainable education.

„To be not only a good businessman, but also a good citizen“

This was the aspiration of the company founder and the foundation’s namesake Fritz Henkel. In this video, his great-granddaughter Dr. Simone Bagel-Trah, Chairwoman of the Management Board of the Fritz Henkel Stiftung, explains why we focus on equal opportunities and sustainable education.
