10 YEARS CREATING A FUTURE OF EQUALITY

Founded in 2011, the Fritz Henkel Stiftung has granted more than 30 million euros in financial donations and supported more than 3.5 million people around the world. The range of topics covered by more than 4,000 supported projects extends from education and science to social issues, art and culture, as well as sports & health and ecology.

Social engagement is closely linked with the name Fritz Henkel. Not only to be a good salesman, but also a good citizen – that was the aspiration of the company founder and founder of the foundation. The initiative “DEUTSCHLAND RUNDET AUF“ collects micro-donations for the benefit of socially disadvantaged children and teenagers in Germany in order to promote their education and equal opportunities.

On the way to work

In cooperation with the Women’s Place foundation, the Fritz Henkel Stiftung foundation supports the social project “On the way to work” in Poland, which focuses on equal opportunities for women in society. The main objective of the program is to reintegrate long-term unemployed women into the Polish job market and to help them overcome potential psychological barriers and build up a better self-esteem.

Special Olympics

Celebrating this year’s 10th anniversary of the Fritz Henkel Stiftung foundation, we present ten exemplary projects from ten years of foundation work: Every month we feature another project.

Special Olympics was founded in the USA in 1968,  encouraging diversity, tolerance and inclusion. That’s why the Fritz Henkel Stiftung has supported the world’s largest sports movement involving people with mental disabilities and multiple disabilities since 2014. Officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee, Special Olympics today unites 5.2 million athletes from around 170 countries.

Together against Corona

With the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Fritz Henkel Stiftung once again joined forces to provide unbureaucratic and rapid emergency aid – the Global Solidarity Program was launched. With the aim of fighting the pandemic in the best possible way, the financial donations supported employees, customers and affected communities.
