The Fritz Henkel Stiftung provides long-term support for the establishment and implementation of the Teach First Deutschland program. By involving fellows in workshops and offering them the opportunity to participate in specific fellow projects, the foundation contributes to the ongoing qualification and practical expansion of the fellows’ skills.

Education as a successful key to integration

Here, the Fritz Henkel Stiftung supports an extensive program for refugees in Germany. In cooperation with the Henkel company, external partners and the authorities, professional orientation, internships, language programs lasting several months and coaching have been offered here since 2016.

The goal of Special Olympics is to help people with intellectual disabilities gain more recognition and participation in society through sport. Through their voluntary work, the volunteers support each individual athlete and thus grow together even more as human beings.

The independent donation organisation DEUTSCHLAND RUNDET AUF offers everyone with the concept of “salary donation” the opportunity to effectively and sustainably combat child poverty in Germany through micro-donations.  All supported projects help children affected by poverty and their families to help themselves.

Young unaccompanied refugees are accompanied in a football camp by recreational education.

Unaccompanied minor refugees overcome cultural fears through team sports. Football creates a neutral environment, the content and rules of which can be assumed to be internationally known.

Building houses for needy families in Northern Macedonia

Habitat for Humanity

We are demonstrating social responsibility with a very special commitment: 19 volunteers, five days, one house: Once again, a team together with the aid organization Habitat for Humanity supported the construction of an apartment building for needy families in Veles, Macedonia, around 60 kilometers from the capital Skopje.

The “Instituto Nacional José Damián Villacorta” is the only state school in Santa Tecla, a town near the capital San Salvador, which offers dual education to the young people there. The children, also from disadvantaged families, have the chance to attend secondary school and at the same time to complete a vocational training.

Care for abandoned Chinese orphans

The Shanghai Healing Home is a non-profit nursing home that supports the local Chinese child care institutions by providing pre and post-operative care to abandoned Chinese orphans. The orphanage provides a home environment that meets the developmental needs of the babies.
