KICKWINKEL — The ball is round
90 minutes of fun begin with the kick-off – what looks like normal leisure time for other children is different for refugee kids: not having to think about what they have experienced for 90 minutes. This is what the KICKWINKEL project offers: A football camp for unaccompanied minor refugees in Düsseldorf.
The group of underaged immigrants needs special support and poses great challenges to our society. It is not enough to provide housing; especially young people have to be supported and integrated. KICKWINKEL offers the adolescents a meaningful leisure time: Social coexistence and overcoming cultural barriers. The joint project is steered by the Fritz Henkel Stiftung, the Düsseldorfer Jonges, the insurance companies ERGO and ARAG SE, as well as the communications agency Kunst und Kollegen.
