Together against child poverty

Since 2017, Germany

Support and attention in childhood and adolescence often determine the course of life. However, not every child is always lucky enough to grow up in sheltered and carefree circumstances. There are also children who experience a life of poverty, exclusion and stagnation.

This is where the charitable foundation DEUTSCHLAND RUNDET AUF comes in. With its salary donation concept, the initiative offers a micro-donation system for companies and has had strong support from Henkel and the Fritz Henkel Stiftung since March 2017.

Since then, all Henkel employees in Germany have been able to donate an amount between 50 cents and 5 euros from their salary each month. All employee donations are then doubled by the Fritz Henkel Stiftung. This commitment is having an impact: donations totaling more than 470,000 euros have been collected since 2017 (as of March 2022).

100% of the donations are used to support projects that sustainably improve the opportunities of socially disadvantaged children and young people in Germany, for example through early childhood support, education and integration programs or targeted support in completing school or finding an apprenticeship. As a result, 100,000 children have already been given the chance of a better future.
